- are technical devices built into your network to secure internet access. They monitor traffic and decide, based on fixed rules, what is allowed through and what isn't.

- are firewalls maintained externally. A firewall only provides good protection if it is regularly updated and monitored – if it fails, someone needs to notice and intervene.

Two internet connections
If one line fails, traffic switches to the second (failover) and load is distributed across both (load balancing).
Highly available firewalls
Two firewalls are installed per site. If one fails, the other takes over dynamically within seconds – you typically won't even notice your internet connection had an outage.
Firewall management
We handle set-up, updates, patches, backups and replacement of defective or outdated devices.
Malware protection
Risky sites are blocked at the first access attempt – malware is never downloaded in the first place, instead of being caught afterwards by a firewall or antivirus.
Managed VPN services
If you have multiple sites (branch offices, field staff, subsidiaries), we network them together.

List prices per firewall pair (HA / highly available) and subject to change – volume and project discounts available for larger quantities. If you'd like to connect multiple sites via site-to-site VPN through our data centers, the VPN concentrator needed for that (also HA) is additionally free as soon as you source at least one central service there. As a small business, we are exempt from Swiss VAT liability (Art. 10 Para. 2 Swiss VAT Act) – all prices are therefore net of VAT.
Technical details for IT teams
Our managed security products and managed firewalls are based, among others, on OPNsense and pfSense – both highly regarded open-source firewalls, with the matching hardware from Deciso (OPNsense) and Netgate (pfSense). We have worked with monowall, pfSense and OPNsense for over 10 years, since the start of all our projects. We also develop our own firewall solutions under OpenBSD. We harden these further with additional cyber security services in our data centers – which means our firewalls are vastly superior to a "bare" on-premises firewall, and hold up very well even compared to solutions used in high-security environments (e.g. at banks).
For reference: our Managed Firewall 1000 HA reaches throughput of up to 840 Mbit/s even as a highly available HA cluster – at under 30 watts of power consumption per device. The smaller Managed Firewall 400 HA also achieves over 400 Mbit/s as an HA cluster. Both models are therefore well suited to new gigabit fiber connections, without becoming the bottleneck themselves.
